Searching for the Perfect Spot

As some of you know, my sister has asked me to do her bridal portraits. Well, the time is near. So, we cruised around town today for the perfect location for her photoshoot. She has three requests: a red train, a baseball field, and a wall with ivy. After some research, we found the train and the wall with ivy. Of course, I had to take my camera and do a couple of test shots. We also found a leopard print wall. Actually, it was an entire building. Pretty Awesome! I definitely want to go back.

Haley's First Shot

I think she thought we were being a little nerdy, but by the end of our trip she was really getting into the whole impromptu photoshoot we took her on.

Haley and Jeni, My Beautiful Sister and Bride-to-Be

Haley's attempt at being dramatic. It almost looks as if the train was actually moving, but it wasn't. It is stuck in the middle of a field.

Love the Leopard Print Wall!

I know the leopard print wall probably isn't appropriate for Jeni's Bridal Portraits but it is definitely cool!

At the last minute we found a wall of Ivy. One problem, it is right next to a parking lot, but it still has great possibilities.

We had to get some shots of Brittany, even though she wasn't dressed for a photoshoot. She was still adorable!

This has to be one of my favorites. It is a little humorous to me, but I'm not sure why. Maybe because I am the little sister, too, and I totally remember trying to steal attention away from Jeni.

Haley and her Shadow

Even at 15, you are still not to old to play with your shadow.

Brittany and her Shadow

Of Course, Brittany had to join in, too.

We exhausted our troops, and Mason actually took a little snooze. It is probably his 4th nap of the year. I am not kidding!

Mason, August 20, 2008

Mason got to have his own "mini" photoshoot at the "Blue" wall. These are a few of my favorites. Unfortunately, the abandoned parking lot wasn't an appropriate place for little Nola to crawl around. So, she chilled out in the car and had some snacks as she watched us chase after Tyler and Mason with the camera. It was probably quite humerous. Anyway, she has started walking since then. So, we may revisit the "Blue" wall again.

Tyler, August 20, 2008

With the help of a good friend, I finally found the coveted "blue" wall in Lubbock. Of course, since then I have found three or four other blue walls. I also had the perfect opportunity to go test it out with Tyler 18 month photoshoot. His momma is so great, she will go wherever I suggest. Even if it was an abandoned building with a cool blue wall. I think we got some really awesome shots of Tyler.

Tyler's photoshoot at the "blue" wall has inspired me to seek out more colorful walls and I plan to do an entire series. I will keep you updated!

Apple Country Orchards, Idalou, Texas

On Friday, August 22, 2008, Mason, Nola, and I joined some StrollerFriends at the AppleCountryOrchards in Idalou, Texas. We had so much fun! We got to take a tour, play with Lady Bugs, and go on a Hayride. I would highly recommend it. They are having an Apple Butter Festival, September 13-14, and Pumpkin Fest, October 11-12. We will definitely be revisiting the Orchards around Pumpkin season. I have to get those Fall Pumpkin Patch Pictures. Anyway, since Jonna has dubbed me StrollerFit's Official Photographer. I had to live up to my title and get some shots in during our visit to the Orchard. These are only a few of the 100+ that I took. If you are interested I posted more of Mason and Nola on my Little Jessi Blog. Enjoy!

Laura and Jacob, August 8, 2008

I recently did a photoshoot of Laura and Jacob. Laura began Kindergarten this week, and her mother Jonna wanted to capture that special moment. So, Miss Laura got all dressed up in her new school uniform and we did a little photoshoot at her school. We even got some great shots of her brother Jacob. Unfortunately, we couldn't get Laura and Jacob to smile in the same shot, but we were still able to get some cute ones.

Rose, June 11, 2008

Rose is probably one of the best babies I have ever met. I had so much fun doing her One Year Shoot. She was such a doll!
